New Year, New Beginnings

I think it’s safe to say we are all ready for a brand new year. We all anticipate the feelings of inspiration, hope, and new beginnings. All looking forward to happier days ahead.

What if I told you that you are the one that controls if there are happier days ahead.

I know 2020 was full of turmoil, uncertainty, fear, frustration, heartache… I could go on and on.  But in order to have happier days ahead, you must let go of the negative. We must focus on the beauty that came out of 2020.

Be grateful for the lessons learned. Be grateful for the extra time to reflect. We can even be grateful for the lessons in patience. Did you pick up a new skill or hobby in 2020? I know I did. I am now an avid gardener. Be grateful for that. Sit down with a cup of tea or coffee, light a candle, get comfortable, grab a pen and notepad, and get busy. Really take time to reflect and see all the blessings of 2020. Every cloud has a silver lining.

After this is done, let go of what you thought 2020 was going to be and truly celebrate what it was. Only then will you be open to the happier days that 2021 will hold. It’s all about changing our perspective. Letting go of the negative in our hearts to make room for the joy ahead. This year is going to be awesome, no matter what we face.

So relax, reflect, release, and be ready to receive. And remember every time this year you are feeling weighed down to take action. Do this simple exercise and change your perspective. When we focus on the negative it blinds us to the joy right in front of our faces. God has plans for you. You are going to do great things this year. Remember that you have the power to control how you feel. Stay positive my friend.
